New Workshops

Addressing Unconscious Bias

The goal of this intervention is to make the unconscious become conscious, and to effect behavioral change ultimately resulting in more fair and equitable behaviors in participants.

This course plays a crucial part in:

Helping professionals understand the impact of their natural, individual and collective thought processes on their decisions, their peers and direct reports, and the organizational culture.

Opening the door to effective conversations around micro-triggers, privilege, diversity, inclusion, racism, and genderism in a non-threatening way.

Providing a foundation and vehicle for changing thought patterns and behaviors.

Our unconscious bias training will include individual assessments, customizing interventions and delivering interactive training focused on improving individual well-being and organizational performance throughout the organization.  This 4 to 8-hour blended learning intervention with pre-work including online assessments and reading materials, classroom presentation and discussion, case studies, and experiential learning activities.

Preventing Sexual Harassment

Our sexual harassment training explores the statistics and impact of sexual harassment on the offender and the offended party. Our research reveals that many in the workplace don’t know the difference between awful and unlawful harassment, don’t know how to define boundaries, and don’t know how to handle misconduct, bullying and retaliation.

This course plays a crucial part in:

Helping professionals recognize the impact of their actions and non-actions relevant to sexual misconduct on organizational culture.

Opening the door for effective conversations around sexual misconduct, sex discrimination, and genderism in a non-threatening way.

Providing a mechanism for changing thought patterns and behaviors relevant to sex in the workplace.

Providing tools, techniques, and strategies for addressing sensitive issues.

Addressing issues before they become legally actionable sexual harassment.

The goal of JJA’s sexual harassment interventions are to help participants to examine their involvement, participation in, and acceptance of sexual misconduct in the workplace, empower them to change behaviors when necessary, and ultimately impact the organizational culture. JJA CONSULTANTS uses a 4 to 8-hour blended learning intervention with pre-work including online assessments and reading materials, classroom presentation and discussion, case studies, and experiential learning activities.

Civility in the Workplace

Civility involves treating people with dignity and respect, valuing individuals, and avoiding abrasive behaviors that intimidate, abuse or cause emotional harm.  According to the seventh annual Civility in America poll conducted by Weber Shandwick and Powell Tate with KRC Research, 69% of Americans identify a “major” civility problem, a record high since the inception of the poll in 2010. Learn how to make a difference in your workplace—changing the workplace begins with you.

This workshop involves a series of interactive games, scenarios and discussion that include:

Civility Bingo: Identifying uncivil behaviors in your current work environment.

Civil Card Game: What Does Civility Look Like?

The Amygdala Hijack

Changing our Beliefs and Behaviors: Ground Rules

The goal of this intervention is to help teams experience their organizational culture from others’ perspectives, and identify uncivil behaviors in themselves and others.  This is the beginning of impactful change. JJA CONSULTANTS uses a 4 to 8-hour blended learning intervention with pre-work including online assessments and reading materials, classroom presentation and discussion, case studies, and experiential learning activities.
